Referral program

Most of our work arrives because someone vouched for us.

If you send someone our way, we would rather thank you properly than pretend it never happened. Here is exactly how it works, and what we will not put a number on until we have spoken.
Who can refer
Anyone at all
Thank-you

How it works

Three steps, and only the first one is yours.

You make an introduction. We do the rest, and we keep you posted rather than leaving you to wonder whether anything came of it.
  1. 01

    You make the introduction

Send us a name and the best way to reach them, or hand them our number and tell us it came from you. Before we make contact, we confirm your thank-you in writing so the terms are settled while the introduction is still yours.

    Call, text or email

  2. 02

    They book a free consultation

A consultant drives to their home with door styles, colour samples, hardware and design ideas, takes measurements if they would like to take it further, then follows up within a couple of days with a computerized design and a detailed estimate. Free, with no obligation on either side.

    In their own home

  3. 03

Their project is installed, and we thank you

If they go ahead, we build and install. Once the work is finished and the final invoice is settled, we pay the thank-you exactly as it was written down at the start. No renegotiation at the end.

    After installation

The details

Who can refer, and what actually counts.

The rules are deliberately loose about who you are and deliberately firm about timing.

Who can refer

Past clients
The most common route. You have watched us work in your own house, which is what makes the recommendation worth anything.
Neighbours, friends, family
You do not need to have bought a thing from us. If you have seen the work, or you know someone planning a kitchen, that is enough.
Trades on site
Electricians, plumbers, tilers, painters and flooring crews hear about a renovation months before we do. If it suits the client, pass it on.
Realtors and stagers
Listings that need a kitchen brought up to date, or a set of vanities replaced, before anyone photographs the house.
Designers and builders
Welcome here too, though most trade partners do better on our trade terms than on this program. Ask us which one suits the way you work.

Send work our way regularly? Our trade and partner terms are usually the better fit.

What counts as a referral

A new name
Someone who is not already speaking to us, has not been quoted, and has not booked a consultation. Introductions are recorded against the first person who makes them.
Told to us first
A short call, text or email before we get in touch. That is what lets us put the thank-you in writing while it still belongs to you.
Any size of project
A single vanity counts. So does a whole main floor. Because the thank-you scales with the installed project, nothing is too small to be worth mentioning.
Anywhere we work
Hamilton, Ancaster, Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga, Milton, Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, and the counties south of us.

The thank-you

Sized to the project, and settled before you say a word to anyone.

We will not print a figure here. A number large enough to be fair on a full renovation would be absurd on a single vanity, and a number that works on a vanity would insult anyone who sent us a whole floor. So we agree it with you, in writing, for the project in front of us — then we hold to it.

How it is set
Scaled to the size of the installed project. A powder-room vanity and a full main-floor renovation are not the same introduction, and we do not pretend otherwise by publishing one flat number that would be wrong for most people.
How it is agreed
Confirmed in writing before you make the introduction, so nobody is working from memory months later. What is written down is what gets paid.
When it is paid
After the project is installed and the final invoice is settled. Not at consultation, and not at deposit — projects can still change shape between those points.
Current terms

Call or email before you introduce anyone and we’ll send you the terms that apply right now, in writing, with nothing to sign up to.

Terms

The whole of the small print.

Short enough to read once, and written so it still means the same thing in six months.
  • The person you introduce must be new to us — not already in conversation with us, quoted, or booked in.

  • Tell us before we make contact. We cannot backdate an introduction once a project is already moving.

  • One thank-you per installed project, paid to the first referrer recorded on the file.

  • The amount is agreed in writing before the introduction is made, and that written figure is what gets paid.

  • It follows the installed project, not the estimate. If they decide against the work, nothing is owed either way and nobody is chased.

  • Paid once installation is complete and the final invoice has been settled.

  • We will not mention your name to the person you introduce unless you tell us we may.

  • We may change or close the program at any time. Anything already confirmed in writing still stands.

Questions

Asked before, answered here.

If your question is not below, phone us — this is the sort of thing that is quicker said than typed.

The referral thank-you depends on the size of the installed project, so we do not publish a single figure that would be wrong for most people. Call us before you make the introduction and we will confirm the current terms in writing, in advance, so you know exactly what you are being thanked with.

No. Anyone can refer. Past clients, neighbours, friends, colleagues, and the trades who have worked alongside us on site are all welcome, and so are realtors and stagers. You do not need to have spent anything with us first.

After the project has been installed and the final invoice is settled. A booked consultation or a signed estimate does not trigger it, because a project can still change or be postponed between the estimate and the install.

We go by the first introduction recorded on the file. That is the main reason to tell us before you pass our number along rather than after — it settles the question before it becomes one.

No, not through the referral program. Trade relationships run on their own terms instead — trade pricing on application, drawing and specification support, and site coordination. If you send work our way regularly, ask about opening a trade account rather than making a referral; the terms are on our Trade and Partners page.
