The project
Wall cabinets and the tall bank are white slab; the base run and the island are an oak-look woodgrain. The two meet at counter height, so the room reads light above and warm below.
The island is topped in white quartz and returned to the floor as a mitred waterfall at the end nearest the seating, with stools set under the overhang. The same quartz continues along the perimeter counters.
Fronts are slabs on black bar pulls throughout. Wine storage is built into the cabinetry above the refrigerator, and the base run is drawers rather than doors along the working side.
