- Late-1990s and 2000s builds with honey oak or maple raised-panel doors, a soffit above the uppers and a laminate top. Taking the run to the ceiling in slab fronts, setting a gola channel between the drawer banks and finishing with quartz on a 20mm mitred edge reads as a different house without touching the footprint.
- 02Old Ancaster Village stone houses
- Thick masonry, deep window sills and floors that fall a full inch across a room. Cabinetry gets levelled off the high point and scribed down from there, on a separate recessed plinth rather than shimming finished boxes into place — which is also what keeps a shadow gap reading straight along the floor.

- Larger kitchens with a working pantry behind the main run, a coffee and bar station, and a mudroom that has to swallow four people's gear. Book a Consultation

We Come to You
A design consultant arrives at your home with a case of slab door samples in super-matte, gloss, textured melamine and veneer, plus gola and finger-pull sections you can put your hand into, hinges and runners to work, edge profiles and finish boards. We walk the room together, talk through what is not working now, and hold finishes up against your own floors, counters and light.
You see every finish and opening system in the room it is meant for, with no drive and no showroom floor.

Design & Estimate
We take measurements if you would like us to, then prepare a computerized design with plan, elevations and 3D views drawn to your room's real dimensions. The estimate that follows itemizes cabinetry, surfaces, hardware and labour, so you can see exactly where the money goes.

Production & Coordination
Once the drawings are signed off, doors, boxes and drawer fronts go into production and the countertop template is booked. Deliveries and trades are sequenced so material does not sit in your garage for six weeks waiting on something else to arrive.
You get a production schedule with the dates that affect your household marked on it.

Professional Installation
Installers protect floors and stair runs before anything comes through the door, then set and shim the frameless boxes dead level and scribe the end panels to the wall. Fronts are adjusted at the end of the install until the reveals read consistently at 3mm across the run and the gola channel lines through from one end of the kitchen to the other.
You get a swept site each evening and one point of contact for the length of the installation.

Final Inspection & Completion
We walk the finished room with you and write down anything that is not right, from a hinge that wants a quarter turn to a filler that needs trimming. Nothing is called complete until that list is empty and you have signed off on it.
You receive care instructions, spare hardware and the warranty in writing.
Working in Ancaster.
There is no public showroom, and the Mohawk Road address is an administrative office rather than a display space. The samples travel instead. Door styles, colour chips, hardware and a drawer sample come to your kitchen, where you can hold them against your floor, your counter and your light — which tells you far more than a lit display room ever does.
Yes. Ancaster is part of the City of Hamilton, so building permits are issued by the same division as the rest of the city. Cabinetry swapped into an existing layout needs no permit. Structural openings, plumbing relocations, additions and finished basements do, and properties near the escarpment or a watercourse can also require Hamilton Conservation Authority approval. We identify that on the first visit.
Original fabric is worth keeping, and we treat it that way. Where a house is designated or falls inside a heritage district, exterior changes and window alterations go through the city's heritage staff; interior cabinetry generally does not. We measure the existing trim profiles and match them so the new work does not argue with the old.
Spring and early fall are the busy stretch. Booking a design visit in late winter usually means production slots are open and installation lands before summer. Cabinetry is stored in a heated space and acclimatized before it goes in, so a January install is no worse for the work than a June one.
