- Norfolk County is roughly fifty minutes from our Ancaster office, down Highway 24 through Waterford. It is a regular run for us: no travel charge to Simcoe, Port Dover, Delhi or Port Rowan, and there is time in the appointment to look at more than one room while we are there.

- 01Lakefront cottages made permanent
- Port Dover and Turkey Point houses that started as summer places often have shallow foundations, out-of-square rooms and real seasonal movement. A slab door on an engineered core — sprayed super-matte, or faced in a textured laminate — holds its line through a humid August far better than a wide solid-wood panel ever will.
- 02Simcoe and Waterford brick homes
- Centre-hall plans from the early 1900s with the kitchen at the back and a pantry off it. Reopening that pantry as a working scullery — sink, dishwasher, open shelving — gives you a clean main kitchen without extending the house by a single foot.
- 03Farmhouses through Delhi and the townships
- Big mudrooms, a second fridge, a freezer that has to live somewhere sensible, and laundry loads a city house never sees. We plan for what the room actually carries rather than for a photograph of it, and internal drawer organisers do more for that than an extra cabinet would.

- Work on a seasonal property is easiest between Thanksgiving and spring, when the roads are quiet and the house is empty. Winter installation slots are held back for exactly this kind of project.

Book a Consultation
Call the Ancaster office or send a note through the site and we will find a time that suits your week, evenings and Saturdays included. Before the appointment we ask a few questions about the room, the budget range you have in mind and how the space is actually used day to day.

We Come to You
A design consultant arrives at your home with a case of slab door samples in super-matte, gloss, textured melamine and veneer, plus gola and finger-pull sections you can put your hand into, hinges and runners to work, edge profiles and finish boards. We walk the room together, talk through what is not working now, and hold finishes up against your own floors, counters and light.
You see every finish and opening system in the room it is meant for, with no drive and no showroom floor.

Design & Estimate
We take measurements if you would like us to, then prepare a computerized design with plan, elevations and 3D views drawn to your room's real dimensions. The estimate that follows itemizes cabinetry, surfaces, hardware and labour, so you can see exactly where the money goes.
You receive drawings and a detailed written estimate, free and with absolutely no obligation.

Production & Coordination
Once the drawings are signed off, doors, boxes and drawer fronts go into production and the countertop template is booked. Deliveries and trades are sequenced so material does not sit in your garage for six weeks waiting on something else to arrive.
You get a production schedule with the dates that affect your household marked on it.

Professional Installation
Installers protect floors and stair runs before anything comes through the door, then set and shim the frameless boxes dead level and scribe the end panels to the wall. Fronts are adjusted at the end of the install until the reveals read consistently at 3mm across the run and the gola channel lines through from one end of the kitchen to the other.
You get a swept site each evening and one point of contact for the length of the installation.

Final Inspection & Completion
We walk the finished room with you and write down anything that is not right, from a hinge that wants a quarter turn to a filler that needs trimming. Nothing is called complete until that list is empty and you have signed off on it.
You receive care instructions, spare hardware and the warranty in writing.
Working in Norfolk County.
Not at all. The drive is about fifty minutes and there is no charge for it. All we ask is a little flexibility on the day, since Norfolk appointments are grouped together to keep the schedule tight.
Norfolk County issues building permits for the whole county, Simcoe, Port Dover, Delhi and Waterford included. Interior cabinetry does not require one. Structural work, plumbing relocation and additions do, and shoreline or ravine properties may also need Long Point Region Conservation Authority approval.
It will move any wood, so the specification accounts for it. Painted doors on an engineered core, a catalyzed conversion varnish or two-part polyurethane finish, and stainless or solid-brass hardware rather than plated steel all hold up better within a few hundred metres of the water. Wide solid-wood panels are the thing to avoid.
Yes, and several of our shoreline projects run exactly that way. The scope and finish schedule are agreed in writing before you leave, photographs follow at each stage, and access is arranged through a keyholder or a lockbox. Nothing outside the approved scope proceeds without your written go-ahead.
