- 01Victoria Park area homes
- Tall baseboards, deep casings, plaster walls and a rear kitchen that began life as service space. New work has to stand beside 1900s trim without arguing with it, which a quiet slab in a matte lacquer does surprisingly well; where a house genuinely wants a painted Shaker door instead, we build that.
- 02Rockway and Stanley Park, 1950s and 60s
- Compact kitchens with a doorway on every wall and a single window above the sink. The gains come from removing the dining room wall, moving to counter-depth integrated appliances and putting push-to-open drawers into every base cabinet instead of a door and a fixed shelf.
- 03Forest Heights and the 1970s stock
- Bigger rooms, dated finishes, and a bulkhead hiding ductwork that quite often turns out to be empty. We open it up during the design visit before promising ceiling-height tall units; where there is a live duct, the run is stepped and the reveal held so the change reads as intended.

- Builder packages from ten to fifteen years ago with 1/2-inch backs, side-mount runners and an MDF-cored door already swelling beside the dishwasher. Replacement with frameless boxes, PUR edgebanded slab fronts and soft-close hardware is straightforward work with a result you notice every morning.

Book a Consultation
Call the Ancaster office or send a note through the site and we will find a time that suits your week, evenings and Saturdays included. Before the appointment we ask a few questions about the room, the budget range you have in mind and how the space is actually used day to day.

We Come to You
A design consultant arrives at your home with a case of slab door samples in super-matte, gloss, textured melamine and veneer, plus gola and finger-pull sections you can put your hand into, hinges and runners to work, edge profiles and finish boards. We walk the room together, talk through what is not working now, and hold finishes up against your own floors, counters and light.
You see every finish and opening system in the room it is meant for, with no drive and no showroom floor.

Design & Estimate
We take measurements if you would like us to, then prepare a computerized design with plan, elevations and 3D views drawn to your room's real dimensions. The estimate that follows itemizes cabinetry, surfaces, hardware and labour, so you can see exactly where the money goes.
You receive drawings and a detailed written estimate, free and with absolutely no obligation.

Production & Coordination
Once the drawings are signed off, doors, boxes and drawer fronts go into production and the countertop template is booked. Deliveries and trades are sequenced so material does not sit in your garage for six weeks waiting on something else to arrive.
You get a production schedule with the dates that affect your household marked on it.

Professional Installation
Installers protect floors and stair runs before anything comes through the door, then set and shim the frameless boxes dead level and scribe the end panels to the wall. Fronts are adjusted at the end of the install until the reveals read consistently at 3mm across the run and the gola channel lines through from one end of the kitchen to the other.
You get a swept site each evening and one point of contact for the length of the installation.

Final Inspection & Completion
We walk the finished room with you and write down anything that is not right, from a hinge that wants a quarter turn to a filler that needs trimming. Nothing is called complete until that list is empty and you have signed off on it.
You receive care instructions, spare hardware and the warranty in writing.
Working in Kitchener.
Kitchener has designated heritage conservation districts around Victoria Park and the Civic Centre. Interior cabinetry is not controlled by that designation; exterior work is, and it needs heritage approval ahead of the building permit. Structural and plumbing work is permitted through the City of Kitchener building division, and we prepare and submit the drawings.
That depends on the boxes, not the doors. Pull a drawer out and look at the back panel and the runner: half-inch stapled backs on side-mount slides will keep sagging no matter what you do to the fronts. Where the boxes are genuinely sound, refacing is honest value; where they are not, new cabinetry costs less than doing the job twice.
Yes, and most of our projects run that way. The kitchen is the hard one: we set up a temporary sink and fridge elsewhere before demolition, seal the opening with a zippered dust barrier and run a HEPA-filtered extractor during the dusty stages. Dates are agreed in writing first so you can plan around the week without a stove.
